Feather & Tinsel Hair Extensions

1 May

The rumor has it that Steven Tyler started this trend when he was seen with feathers in his hair in American Idol. The trend was shortly seen all over Hollywood.  It’s a really cute and stylish bohemian look for spring and summer. As if the feathers weren’t enough, stars have been seen wearing metallic highlights. Tinsel glitter makes for a great party look. Hair can be washed, styled, curled or flat-ironed. These feather and tinsel hair extensions are fun and easy to install with the right tools. If you want to save a trip to the salon, you can buy a kit that includes the feathers and tools (pliers, hook & silicone beads) from websites such as the ones below or you can buy clip in feather extensions from Etsy.

I saw tinsel extentions on somebody in my town and I fell in love with them. I really want to get them, but I don’t want the clip-on kind. And can you curl or straighten the tinsel with your hair or would it burn?

Yes, you can curl and straighten them just like you would your hair. Many local salons have them now.

I just love these feathers they look so great in my hair. I would recommend for anyone. I really like how easy they are to maintain. I just do everything like I usually do to my hair and my feathers. They make me happy!!
